Church Leaders

Born on the Southside of Chicago Illinois in 1960, Dr. William L. Martin Sr., was born to succeed. He was driven at a young age to be a survivor. Dr. William L. Martin Sr., and his two brothers escaped a horrific fire that succumbed the life of his four sisters on the Southside of Chicago. 

Despite the odds Dr. William L. Martin Sr., never accepted his pass to hinder his future. In the mist of being separated from his surviving family, great temptation, disappointment and drugs, he graduated from Farragut High School in 1979 and joined the United States Marine Corps. He received his Bachelor and Doctorate from Midwest Theological University.

Dr. William L. Martin Sr., served as a boy scout, a cub scout, an usher, a faithful choir member, a Deacon, a Minister, an Elder and Today he serves the Austin community as a Great Leader and Pastor of Chance Ministries located at 305 North Cicero, Chicago Illinois 60644. 

Dr. William L. Martin was destined to triumph over the snares of his enemies. He was blessed to be surrounded by strong men both naturally and spiritually feeding into his spiritual man, birthing a spiritual giant to be born. Dr. William L. Martin Sr., was spiritually fed by Rev Theodore McFarland of Unity Fellowship M.B. Church, Dr. Arthur Lockhart of Healing Temple C.O.G.I.C, and Pastor Joseph Gordon of Unity C.O.G.I.C.

Dr. William L. Martin Sr., has been a business man/entrepreneur on the Westside of Chicago for over twenty-seven years. In 1981, while serving under the leadership of Dr. Arthur Lockhart, then Deacon William L. Martin Sr., was encouraged to become “his own boss”. Dr. William L. Martin is known in his circle to be an skillful contractor, specializing in kitchens and bath. He continues today to brighten the homes of many people with his gifted touch in custom remodeling.

Dr. William L. Martin Sr., is married to wife of thirty-nine years  Belinda Martin and together they have three beautiful children together: Tramaine Martin-Chew, Belinda T. Martin-Williams and William L. Martin Jr. The family serves at Chance Ministries to support the vision of their Leader, Father and Husband. 

Dr. Martin believes in God the Father, Jesus the Son and the baptism of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Amen.
